Since the creation of the company, musicians have been the starting point of all Selmer's adventures, and the black series illustrates this once again.
A few years ago, Michael Lowenstern, a renowned clarinettist based in New York, asked Selmer Paris to build him a black bass Privilège clarinet. This was done and it didn't take long for other musicians to show interest. Several special orders were made before it was decided to offer this special finish to the public.
