The Drake Son of Slant Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece is the perfect mouthpiece for jazz saxophonists who are looking for a vintage feel and modern delivery. The Son of Slant Mouthpiece features essential design elements from the vintage HR Otto Link Slant, along with specially-calibrated modifications for the modern saxophonist, as well as rollover baffle and floor delivery points have been designed for optimal air flow and balanced overtone series. It also has a slight undercutting of the side walls and a medium-sized chamber.
The "Son of Slant" Mouthpiece is made from a specially-engineered Hybrid Vintage Resin Material, which incorporates a small amount of ceramic into the resin, so that the acoustic resonance is enhanced while creating a beautiful vintage aesthetic. Each mouthpiece comes with the Aaron Drake Signature ligature, which has been specifically designed for this model.
Each mouthpiece and ligature is handmade from start to finish at the production facility in Plainfield, NJ USA.
