Cleaning Your Brass Instrument

Brass players are very lucky as a lot of the care and maintenance on their instrument can be performed at home. If performed on a regular basis the costs and frequencies of servicing is dramatically reduced. French horn players are the one exception. Due to the complexity of the instrument, more frequent trips to the repairer is recommended.

For all players, however, it is important to have the instrument serviced every 12 to 18 months by a qualified technician to ensure your brass instrument is performing at its optimum.
